Kyle Edginton
I am husband, a father, a son, and a brother. My life could probably be busier, and probably will get that way as I get deeper into it, but right now I am very happy with everything.
I was originally trained as a Mechanical Engineer at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg where I graduated in 1994. I had a brief stint in the agricultural machinery industry, working for New Holland, before taking on a niche role in the telecommunications industry, working for companies like Broadband Networks Inc., Nortel Networks, and finally Ceyba. As a result of the technology collapse, Ceyba closed its doors during the summer of 2003.
At that point, I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I realized that I had not really enjoyed the work of the last few years as much as I had enjoyed working with the wide variety of people. Since I had a strong interest in personal investing through the stock market and real estate, I decided to retrain as a Financial Planner and went to work for Clarica Financial. Unfortunately, it was not long before I became disillusioned by the design of the personal financial services industry as a whole. I have seen many financial representatives unleashed on the public without sufficient training or any real desire to be truly helpful to their clients. It was then that I decided to further pursue my interests in investing and to make that my full-time focus.
Taking the “work smarter, not harder” approach, I resigned my position, invested in further education and started KGE Real Estate.
These days, I spend a great deal of time with my wife Amelia, and my children, Matthew, Andrew and Natalie. Work-wise I enjoy trading credit spreads, investing in real estate, specifically mobile home parks, and engaging in Internet Marketing. I will be moving on to the Forex market as soon as things settle down for us a bit.
What does the future have in store for us? I don’t know for sure, but our intention is to move to Costa Rica in the very near future. We own a building lot in the mountains there, a short distance from the Pacific Ocean.
You can keep up with me by visiting me on Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Twitter. Send me a note, comment on my videos or pictures or Tweet me. I’d love to hear from you. Just do “something” so I know you are alive!
All the best in everything you do.
Sincerely,
Kyle Edginton
